Watch and Read SummerSlam 2009 (Sunday, August 23, 2009) Highlights
D-Generation X vs. The Legacy
DX left the match with the victory after Triple H extended his help to his friend Shawn Michaels to beat down Rhodes & DiBiase. D-Generation X made a grand entrance while riding on a vintage tank. During the run of the game, their opponents made tags often enough thinking that this is the best strategy to go for the win. However, it was still no good at all when Michaels gave Rhodes some really devastating Sweet Chin Music. It was known that Triple H went on looking for DX partner for a long time having been tired of all the dishonest tactics of his frequent rivals. But upon their comeback as a team, they were surprisingly beaten by Rhodes & DiBiase, giving a clear message before their soon-to-be held match at the SummerSlam. Nevertheless, even if Rhodes & DiBiase were defeated, they can still be considered as one of the best accomplished tandems that WWE history can boast of.

CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy (New World Heavyweight Champion)
CM Punk was able to knock down Jeff Hardy from the height of a 20-foot ladder and stole the title after ultimately shocking the WWE Universe. However, he wasn’t able to celebrate for long for just when he hugged his golden belt, lights went out, and in the middle of the ring appeared the Undertaker. He was grabbed by the Deadman in the throat and did a chokeslam on him down to the mat. With all that the Ladders & Chairs Match can viciously offer with bone-breaking crashes and life-daunting falls from heightened ladders, the whole WWE Universe is left astounded. Hardy was definitely disappointed with himself but he greatly realized that it takes a lot to be on the top. You become a huge, hard target that everybody wants to put down. Nevertheless, Hardy is still looking forward for a rematch.

The two used the Captain as their pawn with both of them slamming down the Champion to the mat. Kane vs. The Great Khali
Kane’s demonic tactics worked well in pinning down the Great Khali. At most part of the match, Khali was almost already sure of his win but not until Kane held captive his opponent’s brother to pose a daunting threat. With this distraction, Kane was able to give his opponent a combination of a low dropkick and a potent DDT which gave him the victory. Weeks before this match, the two have always been at odds but it was usually Kane who would back down. However, the big question remains if this will be the end to the war of the two?
