WWE Changes Names of Two PPVs (No Mercy & Cyber Sunday)
According to WWE.com, the WWE has changed the names of two of its PPVs. “No Mercy “has been replaced with “Hell in a Cell” on October 4 while “Cyber Sunday” has been replaced by “Annihilation”, which will be held on October 25.
Both of these PPV names have appeared in a survey to fans done by the WWE website before.
WD Opinion:
I’ve got to say it, I like “Annihilation” but “Hell in a Cell” seems pretty dubious. I hope that the WWE will not go the TNA way by holding a PPV wherein all the matches are fought inside a cage. “Hell in a Cell” matches are known to be vicious matches (remember Taker throwing Mankind off the roof of the cage?) and should be done to intensify or end a feud, not every feud in the card. I seriously think it will saturate the PPV and it could devalue the stature of “Hell in a Cell” match.
Nevertheless, it should be quite a spectacle and I also want to see how the WWE pulls this off. Anyway, if it doesn’t work, they can always go back to the drawing boards.

I don’t like the “Hell in a Cell” name for a PPV. However, I don’t think every match on the card would be HIAC, just one, maybe two main events.
I got tix to the “Cyber Sunday” PPV and that was why I wanted to go, the theme of the PPV. I sure hope I want to go when the event comes, because I’m stuck now.
