He was considered as among the best commentators in the whole history of WWE and labeled as the WWE’s voice.

Prior to being a commentator, he has been a player on their high school baseball team. Aside from this, he has also played football for two conferences. While doing the entire sports task, he was still able to maintain a very good academic standing as he became a speech champion during his time.

Being good in speech, he started commenting on their college radio. This experience was the reason why he was given the opportunity to announce on a certain event when the real commentator was not able to arrive.

His career being a commentator started when he was employed in the Mid-South territory when it was bought by Bill Watts. He then became their lead man during 1986. He then worked hard in order to be successful on this field however he had an issue with Eric Bischoff during his time in World Championship wrestling. Ross was then released, upon his demand, after Bischoff was promoted as executive producer.

After being released from WCW, World Wrestling Federation, which later on became WWE hired Ross and became the primary voice of every pay-per-view during that time. However, the position was taken by Vince McMahon when SummerSlam 1993 started.

He then took a hosting job at Radio WWF together with Gorilla Monsoon, a former WrestleMania announcer, for a year. Both of them called the Survivor Series and SummerSlam in 1993 for television and Royal Rumble for the radio. However, all the fame ended as he was fired because of his first Bell’s palsy attack in 1994.

Ross was rehired by WWF again as Vince McMahon was charged by the federal government and ceased commenting. His career continued and reclaimed his title of being the WWF’s main voice. But this was cut short again due to a second Bell’s palsy attack. But he is still a part of the WWE until today and is still doing a lot of commentator tasks in matches.

Aside from being a commentator, he also has a barbeque restaurant named J.R.’s Family Bar-B-Q and is planning on expanding this business.

So in conclusion, WWE fans through the years may say that WWE Universe is not complete without Jim Ross being included on its history.

He is the son of Terry Gordy, who is also a legendary wrestler during the time of Fabulous Freebirds.

Jesse went into a number of promotions first before he started working for WWE like NWA Georgia and NAWA, where he won a number of title matches. He also wrestled under Pro Wrestling Noah in 2001 until 2002. In 2002, he started to wrestle under NAWA: Ring Champions. This is the promotion where he formed a team with Jayson Phoenix and Nick Rampage called The New Varsity Club but this only lasted for a short span of time. He was then with another team named Extreme Freebirds together with Tank Norton and Iceberg Slim.
He then agreed to a developmental contract together with WWE in 2005 and then debuted as Ray Geezy in 2006. He was then teamed with two different wrestlers in that year like Damien Steele, a well-reserved wrestler at that time and Henry Godwinn.

Gordy was aired as Jesse Dalton in 2007 SmackDown with Drew Hankinson, who was Justice Dalton and packaged as The Dalton Boys. However, that gimmick was then changed two months after the air. The pair Jesse and Festus were packaged to be on their traditional wrestling outfit instead of wearing country costumes and was presented as Jesse and Festus in June of 2007.

However, it was not until October of 2007 when they have debuted under ECW and winning their very first match against Nunzio and Elijah Burke. But that glory does not last long as they tasted their very first loss a month after their debut on a 5-against-5 Battle Royal Tag Team match. But the loss never seem to end there as they lost again this time against The Miz and John Morrison both on ECW and SmackDown.

After a short halt on their wrestling career, they went back in 2008, with Festus gaining more aggressiveness than before. They won a number of matches until they were able to win and get their revenge against Morrison and The Miz.

After Festus was selected for RAW on April of 2009, Jesse remained in SmackDown. He was then named as Slam Master J and debuted on August 7 SmackDown and won over Charlie Haas.

He has started his career as a wrestler when he was 16 years old and has fought in a number of independent promotions. Until 1999, he spent most days of his career in North Carolina and won several championship matches under the Light Heavyweight Division.

During these years, he has teamed up with Mike Maverick and called their team Assault and Battery, which they changed to The Serial Thrllaz. They also wrestled for OMEGA or Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts established by the Hardy brothers. Helms’ team won several matches but he later on withdraws from The Serial Thrillaz and moved to National Wrestling Alliance or NWA Worldwide. He then teamed up with Christian York, Shannon Moore, and Joey Matthews under the team named Bad Street Boys.

Together with Shannon Moore, who has become his friend, Helms went to World Championship Wrestling. They then formed another team with Evan Karagias known as 3 Count. This group was known as boy bands’ parody and would perform first prior to starting their matches and even create music videos. The group also took out Karagias from the group. Helms and Moore continued to fight as a tag team in WCW then go back to NWA Wildside to wrestle for a day. However, 25 contracts where bought by WWF including Helms’.

He debuted in WWF as The Hurricane in July 2001 and won several matches from then on. Aside from these matches, he also had several feud with The Rock. He was able to reveal his identity by tearing his mask in frustration with his partner Rosey did not do anything to help him to fight Kurt Angle, resulting to him receiving all the brutal attacks. The other matches caused him injuries that have given him a number of losses on his statistics.

But the major injury that caused him to walk out of WWE for some time is his neck injury that has two broken vertebrae on May of 2009. Since one of the vertebrae is pinching the spinal cord, he has to undergo operation then rested for a year.

After resting, he went back to WWE as an interviewer. He returned in December 5, 2008 and defeated MVP. However, he did not win over Shelton Benjamin on a title match in SmackDown on the same month. But even after losing this match, he still went up the ring the following year as The Hurricane, the masked superstar who saves other wrestlers and defeated Burchill as his debut match.

Began his career as a wrestler with a number of wrestling groups in different states such as Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. In 2005, his wrestling skills was recognized and signed a contract under WWE and partnered with Palmer Cannon after being assigned at the DSW or Deep South Wrestling development territory. During this assignment, he was known as Deacon Deville then changed it to The Freakin’ Deacon.

He started in WWE as the Kane’s imposter who chokeslammed the same WWE superstar during his face off match with Shelton Benjamin. This scenario between Kane and the imposter continued for several weeks, with the latter winning over the matches. This resulted to a Vengeance match, which Hankinson won over using a chokeslam. Kane however did not take it very easy for him on the next match as he was totally beaten, tore down his mask then threw him off the ring. Both his identity and face was never revealed to the public during this match.

After that match, he went back to DSW while simultaneously coming out in SmackDown as Freakin’ Deacon. He was also paired up with G-Rilla later in the same year. In May of 2007, there was a hint that he would be packed differently as Festus Dalton and paired with Ray Gordy as a tag team with a “southern” air. However, this ‘Dalton Boys’ fame ended as fast as two months as they were dropped because of not appearing on SmackDown due to being lost on the road to the arena. This time, he went back to OVW then changed again his ring name, being known as Justice Dalton.

After several times of being dropped out of the SmackDown roster, he finally was able to debut in SmackDown on October 5 as Festus. He won the match after ‘transforming’ to a competitive player then went back to his usual self after hearing the bell. This marked his official birth on SmackDown.

After showing his skills in SmackDown, he was drafted in April of 2009 in RAW. Even if he has not been active in WWE since June 2009, he is still popular in having a very different aura as a fighter in the middle of the match then going back to his docile aura after the match.

She is currently contracted with WWE and working under the ECW brand. Known in the WWE as Katie Lea Burchill (or just Katie Lea) she has also wrestled under the ring name Nikita, and she is a two-time OVW Woman’s champion. In addition to her wrestling pursuits, Katie Lea has also begun acting and is currently working on a movie by Utopian Pictures called Tough Justice.

Katie Lea signed a developmental contract with WWE in May of 2006 following WWE tryouts in the UK. She moved to the US from the UK the following month, after relinquishing her Queens of Chaos Champion which she had retained in last European match that had taken place on May 8th. She made her OVW debut soon thereafter, in August of 2006, defeating Melody using the newly implemented name that we know and love, Katie Lea. Her time in the developmental program was fraught with drama, and she feuded with the other ladies including Beth Phoenix, ODB, and Serena Deeb.

Katie defeated her diva opponents in an 8 woman gauntlet match on November 1st of that same year to win the OVW Woman’s Championship. Afterwards, Phoenix claimed to be the rue champion and even revealed her own championship belt. The two battled one on one on December 13th; a fight which Katie Lea won and which put the dispute to an end. The following spring, Katie was slightly injured (ankle sprain) in the “Miss OVW” competition (which ended up being won by ODB). This led to a match between the two on June 1st in which ODB pinned Katie Lea for the Woman’s Championship. Katie Lea wouldn’t regain her title until February 20, 2008. Unfortunately, she would only retain her title for a week before losing it to Josie.

Katie Lea debuted on RAW as the “sister” of Paul Burchill, and made her in-ring TV debut on April 28, 2008; she defeated SuperCrazy (along with her “brother.”) On May 19th, she had a confrontation with then-Women’s Champ Mickie James, saying that she had slept her way to the top. (An on-screen friendship with John Cena was alluded to during the altercation.) Two weeks later, she and Beth Phoenix paired up to take on James and Melina, a match in which Katie Lea and her partner reigned victorious. Unfortunately, that was where Katie Lea’s ambitions to become the next Women’s Champion pretty much fizzled out.

Katie Lea and Paul Burchill debuted on ECW at the end of December 2008; she joined her ‘brother’ in his match against DJ Gabriel. She made a solo in ring debut on January 6, 2009, a match in which she competed against and won Alicia Fox. She competed at WrestleMania XXV, but did not win a title. She was not seen on ECW for seven months; when she returned she battled (and lost) against Nikki Bella.

Evan Bourne is not Korklan’s only pseudonym – he actually worked under the ring name Matt Sydal before he signed with WWE. Before his WWE career began, Korklan worked on the independent wrestling circuit and wrestled promotionally. He also had a role in the VERY short lived Wrestling Society X.

After his WSX contract expired, Korklan became a free agent, and it was very shortly thereafter that he signed a developmental contract with WWE. He made his developmental debut Oct 10, 2007. In December of that same year, he defeated Mike Kruel to win the OVW Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately for him, is was announced that the affiliation of OVW and WWE had ceased, so Korklan lost his title to Jay Bradley; he was soon moved to Florida Championship Wrestling and debuted for them March 22, 2008. He quickly defeated his opponent, TJ Wilson and was called onto the main WWE roster soon thereafter.

Under the new moniker Evan Bourne, Korlan made his ECW debut on June 3, 2008. He lost his first match by count out to Shelton Benjamin after being thrown at guest commentator Kofi Kingston. He quickly got his revenge, however. The next week on the show, Bourne was paired with Kingston, and together the tag-team partnership took down Benjamin and his partner Mike Knox. For the following several weeks, Bourne continued to take down his opponents; the shooting star press became his signature finishing move.

Bourne has also shown up on RAW, protecting Rey Mysterio from Kane and then teaming up with Mysterio to take down John Morrison and The Miz the next week. Bourne had the opportunity to compete against Matt Hardy for the ECW Championship at Cyber Sunday, but was taken down by Hardy’s Twist of Fate. Just two days later, Bourne was injured in an ECW match, tearing his deltoid ligament and dislocating his right ankle. While he did not require surgery, Bourne was not cleared to return to the ring. He ended up winning a “Slammy” Award. The category: Best Finishing Maneuver for his shooting star press.

Bourne returned to ECW on March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day) 2009, and defeated Jamie Noble that night. He would continue to win major bouts, and would also develop a major feud with opponent Mark Henry. On June 29, 2009 Bourne was traded to RAW, and his debut match was a Gauntlet match against Randy Orton – Bourne was eliminated. The following week, however, Bourne regained his momentum by defeating Kofi Kingston (his former ally and current United States Champion) in a non-title bout.

He is currently an American professional wrestler who is likely best known for his past stint as a touted WWE star.

The Boogeyman came on the scene in October 2004 when he applied to participate in season four of Tough Enough, a reality TV program produced by WWE. He attended a two-day, fifty competitor event in Venice Beach and was among the eight chosen finalists to participate on the show. However, despite the fact that he survived the first cut of eliminations, he admitted that he had lied about his age by ten years in order to compete on the show, and was actually five years older than the show’s cut off age. He was immediately let go from the competition as a result of his untruthfulness.

Despite being cut from Tough Enough, Wright was invited to join the WWE’s developmental territory OVW for potential training. He trained between 1/2005 and 6/2005, making his debut on June 25th of that same year. He was put up against three other wrestlers in this debut, and he made short work of the trio. It was then that he announced that his preferred moniker would be “The Boogeyman.” This persona soon included a monster face.

When he was introduced on WWE RAW, it was with much fanfare and cheesy B-horror movie style recordings to promote the newly manufactured persona. Unfortunately, after he was bumped from RAW to SmackDown, he hyperextended both knees and was out of commission for some time. Indeed, his debut was pushed all the way back to October of the same year, when it was implied that he was going to be incorporated into another show. This never panned out for undisclosed reasons. He was eventually incorporated into SmackDown via the ‘new talent initiative’ and proceeded to chant horrific Freddy Kruger nursery rhymes to taunt his challengers. He made quite a name for himself over the next couple of months, showing up unexpectedly backstage and generally becoming a bit of a nuisance.

Over the next few years, The Boogeyman would continue to win unexpectedly and pop up here and there throughout the WWE Universe. His crowning achievement was ending The Miz’s undefeated streak at the Armageddon PPV event.

Eventually, in 2007, he was bumped to WWE’s ECW brand, where he performed at a lukewarm level at best. After a few sporadic wins and one final devastating loss to Kane on March 3, 2009, it was announced by the WWE that he had been released from his contract.

However, most fans worth their salt have heard of the great Ezekiel Jackson. Indeed, Ezekiel is one of the many fabulous faces that can be seen fighting for the WWE.

Born April 22, 1978 as Rycklon Stephens, Ezekiel was fortunate enough to sign a ‘developmental contract’ with World Wrestling Entertainment at the tender age of 29 (March of 2007) and he initially debuted in FCW soon after, in June of 2007. His first professional match was a tag-team bout in which he was partnered with the famed Keith Walker and pitted against the famed Kofi Kingston and Eric Perez. Shockingly enough, even in the early stages of his professional wrestling career, Ezekiel was a champ. He was victorious in his debut match, and was able to build quite a name for himself early on. Indeed, after his smashing initial success, he was rapidly scheduled to compete in more match-ups (both individually and as part of a tag-team duo), one after the other. One of his most memorable tag-team match ups involved him being partnered with Brian Kelley and battling against Heath Miller and Steve Lewington. The bout ended up being a tournament resulting in Ezekiel and his partner facing off against the then-WWE Tag-Team Champs and losing. This losing battle againts The Miz and John Morrison occured on February 8th, 2008; Jackson’s final match as part of Florida Championship Wrestling took place on May 6, 2008.

Ezekiel’s exit from FCW was a graceful and positive one, however, and soon the accomplished professional wrestler would make his debut on SmackDown. In fact, his initial foray into the SmackDown arena took place little more than 2 months after his exodus from FCW, on July 18, 2008. However, he would not debut as a contender but as Brian Kendrick’s personal bodyguard. He was introduced to the crowd as simply “Ezekiel.” However, by August 8, 2008, his name had been modified to include the surname Jackson (and his name would also eventually devolve to simple “Zeke” or “Big Zeke” to his friends and teammates); and he had been upgraded in status from Kendrick’s bodyguard to his ‘adviser.’ This rise in Ezekiel Jackson’s wrestling status was apparently in more than just his title, as he soon began to appear in the ring during Kendrick’s bouts.

Only a couple months later, on October 17th, 2008, Ezekiel made participated in his first, officially sanctioned match as a wrester for the SmackDown crew. He acted as a stand-in for his supposedly sick advisee, Kendrick, and ended up fighting the notorious Super Crazy. Ezekiel Jackson made short work of Super Crazy, effectively using him to mop up the ring. From there, a star was born. The colossal super star began teaming up with the man he previously only advised, Kendrick. The two would go on to feud bitterly with the then-WWE Tag-Team Champs, Carlito and Prim Colon. Ezekiel would remain undefeated until February 13, 2009.

Indeed, on the February 13, 2009 installment of SmackDown, he lost a singles match in which he had been pitted against R-Truth. His final appearance on the show that had built him up into a household name, Smackdown, occurred on April 3, 2009. Unfortunately, his final bout was not as exhilarating as his debut, and his final SmackDown match ended with him being defeated by Jeff Hardy.

However, his last SmackDown bout would not be his last as a professional wrestler. Within two days, Ezekiel was drafted to the ECW as part of the 2009 Supplemental Draft; and his partnership with the man he had formerly guarded and advised, Kendrick, was no more. Unfortunately, before ever taking the ring as part of his new brand, Ezekiel was returned the place it had all begun, FCW, for additional training.

However, during the relatively short span of Ezekiel’s SmackDown career, he accumulated several signature moves. Some of the moves he could always be counted on to employ included the Shoulder Block, the ever-popular and efficient Bear Hug, the Release Side Slam, and 2008’s Backbreaker Rack. In addition to his prowess and success as a wrestler, he can also claim to have managed the great Brian Kendrick.

She was born in El Paso, Texas on April 16, 1968 and married Eddie Guerrero on April 24, 1990. They have two daughters, Shaul Marie (aged 18) and Sherilyn Amber (aged 14).

Vickie Guerrero started making appearances in SmackDown in 2005 during a storyline feud between Eddie and Rey Mysterio involving Mysterio’s son, Dominick. According to the storyline, Dominick was really the biological son of Eddie, a secret he wouldn’t reveal only if Mysterio wins against him in The Great American Bash 2005. Vickie also appealed to her husband to end the feud with Rey. Nevertheless, Eddie and Rey fought in a Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2005 for the ‘custody of Dominick.” Vickie cost Eddie the win that night as she pushed over the ladder as Eddie was about to win the match. On November 2008, Eddie was found dead by Chavo Guerrero unconscious in his hotel room and died as a result of a heart attack. After Eddie’s death, Mysterio started dedicating his matches to his real-life friend.

In 2006, Chavo and Rey began to feud as Chavo accused Rey of riding on the coattails of the Guerrero family and has benefitted from Eddie’s death. Vickie’s initial role was that of a mediator between the two, often acting as a peacemaker to diffuse heated situations. In SummerSlam 2006, she inadvertently cost Mysterio the match. It wasn’t long until Vickie turned heel. In the following SmackDown episode, she sided with Chavo and beat Rey at the back of the head with a steel chair. Eventually, Chris Benoit was inserted into the storyline but Vickie was unable to help Chavo win the United States Championship from Benoit.

Vickie was given the role of assistant General Manager after Krystal convinced then-GM Theodore Long to hire Vickie. After Long’s kayfabe heart attack, Vickie assumed the GM position after being named by Vince McMahon. She was now using her new found position to give advantages to Edge in matches. With Vickie’s help, Edge won the World Heavyweight Championship at Armageddon 2008. It was then later revealed that Edge and Vickie are involved in an on-screen romantic relationship.

As her power grew, she later formed La Familia with Chavo, Edge, Curt Hawkins, Zach Ryder and Bam Neely. Vickie had a hand in Chavo’s win against CM Punk for the ECW Championship. Edge retained his title for several months, thanks to Vickie. Edge finally lost the title back to the Undertaker and La Familia broke up, fearing the Undertaker’s wrath. Vickie then allied himself with the Big Show to protect her from the Undertaker. However, the Undertaker was able to get to Vickie, hitting her with a tombstone piledriver and defeating Big Show in a casket match. Vickie later realigned herself with the returning Edge and once again helped him win the WWE Championship.

Vickie was appointed Raw General Manager during the absence of Stephanie McMahon. She is now currently involved in an angle with Santino Marella’s twin sister, Santina.

On 8th June 2009, Vickie resigned as General Manager in the Raw episode. Soon after her announcement, Edge comes to the ring and humiliates her demanding for a divorce.

He is a 6 time World Champion and is currently undefeated at WrestleMania with a record of 17-0. While his WrestleMania record is spotless, he did not, however, perform in the 2000 edition, missing it because of a legitimate biceps injury. He is one of the influential backstage members of the roster, having worked for the WWF/E since 1990.

His real name is Mark Calaway, born on March 24, 1965 in Houston, Texas to Frank and Catherine Calaway. While he was in high school, he was a member of the basketball varsity team. As a hobby, he collects Harley-Davidson and West Coast Choppers motorcycles. Calaway is an avid boxing fan and carried the American flag for Team Pacquiao during the Pacquiao- Velasquez match back in 2005. Aside from boxing, he also enjoys mixed-martial arts and has been to several UFC events. He has incorporated several MMA-style moves to his moveset in wrestling matches.

Aside from his wrestling duties, Calaway has also been involved in the real estate business with his partner Scott Everhart and established a foundation named The Zeus Compton Calaway Save the Animals fund.

Calaway made his pro wrestling debut in 1984 for for the World Class Championship wrestling as “Texas Red” and lasted 4 years with the company. He left in 1988 to join the USWF, where he captured the USFW Unified World Heavyweight Championship. He then moved on to World Championship Wrestling in 1989 but eventually left in 1990 when his contract wasn’t renewed.

He debuted in the WWF in November 1990 initially as “Cain the Undertaker” but eventually shortened his name. Paul bearer was then made his manager, as the two characters matched gimmicks. In The Undertaker’s first WrestleMania appearance, he defeated “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, starting his undefeated streak. He captured the WWF Championship title after defeating Hulk Hogan but lost it in a rematch 6 days later. In November 1993, he challenged Yokozuna for the WWF Championship in a casket match. Yokozuna won the match with the help of several villainous wrestlers.

The Undertaker returned in 2004 and dispatched an Undetaker impostor employed by Ted DiBiase. When Mankind debuted in the WWF, he set his sights on the Undertaker. Paul Bearer switched to Mankind’s side, costing the Undertaker the Boiler Room Match.

He feuded with Shawn Michaels and competed in the first ever “Hell in a Cell” match at the In Your House: Badd Blood PPV in 1997. During the match, Kane, The Undertaker’s half-brother, debuted and interfered, costing him the match. He also renewed his rivalry with Mankind, culminating in a Hell in a Cell match in King of the Ring 2008. In that match’s finish, The Undertaker threw Mankind from the top of the 16-foot cage followed by a chokeslam from the top of the cell that sent Mankind through the roof. He then finished off Mankind with a chokeslam off a pile of thumbtacks.

In 1999, he formed the Ministry of Darkness in a villainous turn. He claimed that he was taking orders from a “higher power”. The Ministry merged with Shane McMahon’s Corporation to form the Corporate Ministry. The Undertaker feuded heavily with the Corporate Ministry’s thorn, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. It was then revealed that the “higher power” was none other than Austin’s nemesis, Mr. McMahon.

From 2000-2003, he changed his gimmick, becoming the American Badass, who would ride a motorcycle during his match entrance. It was during this time he was crowned as the WWF Undisputed Champion. He was sent exclusively to SmackDown and started an angle with Brock Lesnar. Lesnar would always get the upper hand due to interference from Mr. McMahon. He then faced McMahon in a Buried Alive match at Survivor Series 2003. McMahon won the match after Kane interfered and buried the Undertaker.

The Undertaker returned to his Deadman gimmick and defeated Kane at WrestleMania XX. He also dispatched his Randy Orton at WrestleMania 21 after the upstart Orton challenged him to a match. Their feud ended when Orton was defeated after a Hell in a Cell match. He challenged Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight Title at No Way Out but lost the match after Mark Henry attacked him.

In 2006-2007, the Brothers of Destruction reunited against MVP and Mr. Kennedy, two wrestlers the brothers were feuding at that time. The Undertaker finally captured the World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Batista at WrestleMania 23. After suffering an injury, he dropped the title to Edge. At WrestleMania 24, he regained the title after Edge tapped out to the gogoplata submission hold. He successfully defended the title several times against Edge but Vickie Guerrero stripped him of the title after declaring the gogoplata submission move illegal. Edge then won the vacant title after interference from La Familia.

The Undertaker returned at SummerSlam 2008 and defeated Edge in a Hell in a Cell match. At WrestleMania 25, he made it 17-0 at the event after defeating Shawn Michaels, a wrestler he hasn’t previously defeated in a match.
