Jack Swagger was told by the Interim General Manager Tiffany to rest on Tuesday ECW Night to avoid getting into more trouble after he shoved Captain Charisma on the ramp as he was walking off the ring. Swagger was on the ring once again that evening to tell the WWE Universe that he’s still not letting go of the ECW Championship title for the Captain Charisma never did win the title in both Backslash and in Judgment Day. Not willing to listen to any more of what Swagger had to say, the Interim General Manager went interrupted Swagger and threatened that he won’t get a chance for the gold if he doesn’t back down. To his disappointment, he shoved Captain Charisma on the ramp as he was making his way from the ring. But Swagger’s cheap shot did not stop the ECW Champion from winning his match that evening against Paul Burchill.
Afterward, Captain Charisma requested to the Interim GM to grant him the opportunity to face Tommy Dreamer on a title match next Thursday to give Dreamer the opportunity to win the title before his contact ends three weeks from now. In response, Tiffany granted Captain Charisma’s request, thus an ECW Championship match was set on Thursday between Christian and the ECW Original Tommy Dreamer.

On the other hand, it seems that Finlay’s flight will continue to fall into deaf ears for he once again faced the Hart Dungeon trainees by himself in a non-title match this time facing the British Bulldog’s son, David Smith, who had made a statement that he will be better than his father. The Hart Trilogy had worked together to defeat Finlay in this match by creating a distraction to draw the Belfast Brawler’s attention the other way. This time it was Tyson Kidd and Natalya who the distraction which gave the son of the British Bulldog the opportunity to give his tough as nails opponent with a shot from Natalya’s shoe. David Hart Dungeon defeated Finlay with the use of a high and tight suplex.
  

While Zack Ryder had taken a break from the gym to confidently face a local athlete in a match. Ryder won by giving his opponent a unique but intense neck breaker. On the said night, Vladimir also made a statement in mixed English and Russian that he will continue to viciously “march” through the Land of the Extreme.
