With Vickie Guerrero’s announcement that she will be the permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw, a day after the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania, things in the Land of the Extreme was shook a little further by the announcement of Theodore Long that he will again hold his previous position as the General Manager of SmackDown while his assistant Tiffany would become the new interim General Manager of ECW. When Jack Swagger, the ECW Champion interrupted her, Tiffany announced that the “All-American American” will be defending his Title at the Backslash on April 26, 2009. Since the ECW Champion doesn’t have a definite opponent just yet, Christian, Tommy Dreamer, Finlay and Mark Henry will contend against one another in an Elimination Chase to Backslash. The Chase began with a Fatal Four Way Match where thanks to his trusted shillelagh, Finlay defeated Mark Henry eliminating him from the Chase.

On the next ECW, Finlay, Christian and Tommy Dreamer will face one another in Triple Threat Match where the remaining two Superstars will face one another in a final match to determine who will be the last man standing to face Swagger and get a chance to win the ECW Championship Title.

So the question now is who among Finlay, Christian and Tommy Dreamer will be the contender of the “All-American American” now that Mark Henry, dubbed as the World’s Strongest Man is out of the picture? Will it be Finlay who put Henry out of the picture?

Christian, the Captain Charisma, who was defeated by the ECW Champion in Swaggers last defense of his title but won over the “All-American American” in singles actions? Or will this summer be the end of Tommy Dreamer’s career in wrestling? The ECW Original had made a vow that he will quit WWE if he doesn’t win the ECW Championship before his contract ends in June.

Will the former ECW Champ make it through the Chase and become the number one contender to earn his spot at the ECW Championship? Well, we will have to wait along with the “All-American American” to find out who will he be defending his title against this April 26th 2009.

On the Six-Man Tag Match, the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito, Primo and Evan Bourne defeated John Morrison, the Miz and Tyson Kidd just two days after Carlito and Primo defeated John Morrison and the Miz on The Grandest Stage of Them All Match. The new win was a result of Primo landing a Backstabber on Tyson Kidd and Evan Bourne’s Shooting Star Press dropped onto the last graduate of the Legendary Hart Dungeon.
