Chavo Guerrero, Jr. Biography Chavo Guerrero is a professional wrestler working for the World Wrestling Entertainment and a member of the renowned Guerrero wrestling family.

Personal Life
Chavo was born on October 20, 1970 in El Paso, Texas to Salvador “Chavo” Guerrero and Nancy Vasquez. He is married to Susan Guerrero and together, they have 2 sons.

He comes from a family line full of professional wrestlers. His grandfather is Gory Guerrero, one of the legendary luchadores in Mexico. His father, Chavo Sr, is a multi-titled champion. He is also the nephew of Enrique Llanes, Hector Guerrero, Mando Guerrero, and the late Eddie Guerrero.

Wrestling Career
Chavo started his wrestling career in 1994, quickly gaining a spot in WCW and was in storylines with his uncle, Eddie. Eddie’s gimmick at that time was using cheat tactics to get the upper hand on his opponents and win the match. Chavo was dragged into several of these situations, albeit as a reluctant ally. These situations would soon drive Chavo “crazy”, often coming into conflict with Eddie. When WCW was bought out by WWF, Chavo was made part of The Alliance, a group of WCW and ECW wrestlers out to “invade” the WWF as part of the storyline.

After the Invasion storyline, Chavo was made a trainer for the WWE Reality TV show “Tough Enough II”. When he came back to the active roster as a wrestler, he was back to his alliance with Eddie Guerrero and now fully adopted Eddie’s gimmick to “lie, cheat, and steal.” The duo’s partnership eventually became successful, capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship twice and the hearts of the fans as they quickly became fan favorites as well. Soon after, Chavo turned on Eddie and brought in his father, Chavo Sr., as his backup. He then suffered a legitimate concussion after getting hit with a Shooting Star Press by Billy Kidman. This forced Chavo to be out of action for a few months. In his return, he feuded with Kidman to exact revenge for his injury.

Chavo Guerrero, Jr. Biography Chavo was sent to Raw as part of the 2005 WWE Draft. Drastic changes were made to Chavo’s character gimmick as he showed in Raw the next week to denounce his Hispanic heritage and embrace his golf cart-riding Anglo-American persona as “Kerwin White”. He began feuding with African-American wrestler Shelton Benjamin but this persona would not last due to a tragic event.

In November 13, 2005, Chavo found Eddie Guerrero lying unconscious in his hotel room apparently because of a heart attack and was declared dead by paramedics on the scene. Chavo dropped the Kerwin White gimmick and wrestled back using his real name to continue the Guerrero family legacy. This shift eventually led to feuds with Randy Orton, who was disrespecting Eddie’s legacy and Rey Mysterio, whom Chavo felt was using Eddie’s memory to further his career.

Chavo was also one of the people Chris Benoit communicated with before his family’s tragic events. Benoit sent text messages to Chavo and upon receiving them, he alerted WWE officials about the situation. In the following hours, police authorities found Benoit and his wife Nancy and son Daniel dead in an apparent double murder-suicide case. After pinning Funaki in their match, Chavo climbed up the turnbuckle and pointed to the ceiling with two fingers, a gesture to the early deaths of Eddie and Benoit. Chavo lost an “I Quit” match against Rey Mysterio after Mysterio continuously pounded Chavo’s left knee with a steel chair, thus injuring Chavo in a storyline. In reality, he was to serve his suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy.

In his return, Chavo was assigned to ECW and quickly entered a program with CM Punk for the ECW Championship. He captured the ECW title from Punk on January 2008 but lost the title to Kane at WrestleMania XXIV after a mere 8 seconds in the ring. He tried to regain the ECW title from Kane and Matt Hardy but his efforts were fruitless. He was also part of a storyline between the Undertaker and La Familia, losing in a Casket Match to The Phenom. In the 2009 WWE Supplemental Draft back in April, Chavo was drafted back to Raw where Vicki Guerrero serves as the General Manager.

During Chavo’s career, he has captured several titles including the WCW Cruiserweight Championship (2 times), WCW World Tag Team Championship (1 time), WWE Tag Team Championship (2 times), WWE Cruiserweight Championship (4 times), and the ECW Championship (1 time).
