Jerry The King LawlerJerry “The King” Lawler was born on November 29, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee. His real name is Jerry O’Neil Lawler. He is presently working with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), working and wrestling on its Raw brand. Jerry is cousin of Wayne Ferris (a professional wrestler) also known as The Honky Tonk Man. Jerry is married 3 times and has two children as well. Both of his sons Brian and Kevin has performed in WWE as wrestlers. He was married to Stacy Carter also known as “The Kat” in 2000. Soon in 2001 they got separated. Jerry’s life in 1990’s was somehow troublesome. In 1993, he was accused for raping a15 year old girl, but later the charges against him were dismissed. Late on March 16, 1999 he was arrested for misbehaving with a police officer.

Jery initially wrestled for NWA. In September 1971, he won his first ever championship by winning a battle royal. He also won the NWA Southern Tag Team Championship.
Jerry Lawler joined WWF in December 1992 as an announcer on WWF Superstars of Wrestling. In November 2001, Jerry Lawler started working as a commentator for Raw and PPV events with Jim Ross.

    Lawler is one of the greatest trash talkers of all-time. He was the master of ring psychology and was a great heel. While his wrestling ability is limited, no one was a better brawler than the King in his heyday. It is a shame WWE fans and apparently Vince McMahon don’t know what a legend this guy is. Even at his age, I think he could still be a great heel if McMahon had any sense.
