Mr. Kennedy (Kenneth C. Anderson) Biography Mr. Kennedy (Kenneth Anderson in real life) is a professional wrestler and actor. Until recently, he was working for the World Wrestling Entertainment but was released from his contract on May 29, 2009.

 

He was born on March 6, 1976 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is the son of James Alan Holmes and Sheryl Anderson. He also has a sister named Jennifer Holmes. He graduated in Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisconsin where he competed in swimming and track and field. He was also the announcer in his school’s basketball games, often repeating the players’ last names to make it sound funnier. He incorporated the style into his wrestling character’s ring entrance. Before becoming a professional wrestler, he also worked as a security guard and personal trainer. He is married to Shawn Trebnick, who he married in January 2008.

 

He made his wrestling debut on September 1999 after training with Eric Hammers and Mike Krause. Most of his work consisted of jobbing in the independent circuits during 2001-2005. He then received a developmental contract from the WWE on 2005. This wasn’t his first experience in the company as he already made appearances for WWE shows like Jakked, Heat, and Velocity. Most of his time was spent in the Ohio Valley Wrestling territory before being called up into the main roster.

 

Mr. Kennedy (Kenneth C. Anderson) Biography In his television debut, he first referred to himself as “Mr. Anderson” but later changed it to “Mr. Kennedy”, a reference to Vince McMahon’s middle name. His character would do his own entrance announcement. In his PPV debut, he injured Hardcore Holly’s ribs. In November 11, 2005, he wrestled Eddie Guerrero in what was Guerrero’s last televised match before his tragic death. Mr. Kennedy also had a high profile feud with The Undertaker in an attempt by the WWE to push him to a higher card. In an overseas tour in December 2005, Kennedy suffered a serious latissimus dorsi injury which required surgery to repair. The injury put him out of the ring for nearly six months.

 

While he was in SmackDown, he won the US Title once, beating Finlay and Bobby Lashley in a triple threat match. He also won the Money in the Bank Ladder match at WrestleMania 23 but had to relinquish the briefcase to Edge. It was found out that he had a massive hematoma that forced him out of action for 7 months.

 

Mr. Kennedy (Kenneth C. Anderson) Biography On June 2007, Kennedy was drafted over to Raw. He was then suspended for 30 days for violating the terms of the WWE Wellness Program. Upon his return, he feuded with stars like Jeff Hardy and Shawn Michaels. Noticeably absent during the months leading to WrestleMania 24, it was revealed that he was filming the movieBehind Enemy Lines: Colombia”. In his return, he turned face and won against RAW GM William Regal. The loss forced Regal out of Raw freed up the General Manager position.

 

On June 2008, he was drafted back to SmackDown but was quickly taken out of action after he disclocated his shoulder in a match against Shelton Benjamin. He had already been out of action for a year when he was drafted back to Raw in the 2009 Supplemental Draft. On May 25, 2009, he made his ring return in a 10-man tag match. Unfortunately, only 4 days after his return, the WWE released him from his contract due to unknown reasons.
