Randy Orton (Randal Randy Keith Orton) Biography Randy Orton is a professional wrestler for the World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAW brand. He has held multiple titles including the WWE Intercontinental Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship. He has also been the World Heavyweight Champion, being the youngest to do so at 24. He currently holds the WWE Championship, a title he has captured 3 times in his young career. He also won the 2009 Royal Rumble with the help of his stable mates Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr, otherwise known as “The Legacy”.

 

Randy Orton (Randal Randy Keith Orton) Biography Orton was born on April 1, 1980 in Knoxville, Tennessee. His father is “Cowboy” Bob Orton, a former professional wrestler and a WWE Hall of Famer. He is married to Samantha Speno, who gave birth to their daughter Alanna Marie on July 12, 2008.
Even though his parents tried to warn him about the perils and hardships of becoming a professional wrestler, Orton continued to pursue the career after being dishonorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. He signed with the WWE and was sent to the Ohio Valley Wrestling training facility where he would become the OVW Hardcore Champion.

 

Randy Orton (Randal Randy Keith Orton) Biography He debuted on Smackdown! in April of 2002. He was a fan favorite but within weeks of his debut, he suffered an injury and had to be taken off the TV roster. After recovering from his injuries, he joined the heel faction Evolution with Ric Flair, Triple H, and Batista. Orton would get his push while being in the group as they were heavily featured in the RAW program in 2003-2004. He was billed as “The Legend Killer”, a young wrestler who disrespects wrestling “Legends”. He captured his first title while part of Evolution, becoming the WWE Intercontinental Champion after beating Rob Van Dam.
Orton held the Intercontinental Title belt for 7 months, losing the title to Edge. He was granted a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. He became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion at age 24 by defeating Chris Benoit. This would not bode well for Orton as his stable mates were not pleased with his victory. He was booted out of the group after being beaten down in a mock celebration, resulting into matches against his former group in the following months, eventually losing the title to Triple H.
Orton had a 9-month feud with the Undertaker, which started with Orton trying to end Undertaker’s undefeated Wrestlemania record. During this storyline, Orton would get help from his father “Cowboy” Bob Orton during his matches against the Undertaker. He gained a title shot in a triple-threat match at Wrestlemania 22, ultimately losing to Rey Mysterio Jr. Orton was entered in a storyline feud with Hulk Hogan, which Hogan won in a match in SummerSlam.
Randy Orton (Randal Randy Keith Orton) Biography Orton feuded with John Cena for the WWE Championship belt. After Cena suffered a legitimate injury, Orton was handed the title. In Wrestlemania 24, Orton retained the title by pinning John Cena. In a Fatal-Four Way Elimination match, Triple H captured the title from Orton. The two continued to feud until Orton suffered a legitimate collarbone injury during their match in One Night Stand. After recovering, he formed the heel stable “The Legacy” and regained the title by beating Triple H in the April 2009 edition of Backlash.
