Charlie Haas was born on March 27, 1972 in Houston, Texas. His real name is Charles Doyle. Charles is presently working with World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling on its Raw brand. Charlie’s grandfather was Hugh Devore who was an assistant with the Houston Oilers and also a former Head Coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Charlie Haas used to wrestle for Seton Hall University. He won many awards for wrestling during his high school. Charlie was also a two-time Big East Champion at Seton Hall. After his high school, he got into stock market with Goldman Sachs.

Charlie married Jackie Gayda on June 10, 2005 and on December 14, 2006 they were blessed with a daughter. They were blessed with another daughter on September 17, 2008.

On October 1 2008, Charlie and his wife Jackie opened a nutritional store named “Custom Muscle Nutrition and Smoothie Shop” in Frisco, Texas.

Charlie with Russ Haas did well at the Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) and at Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Russ (27) was Charlie’s brother who later died from a heart attack, on December 15, 2001.

Charlie made his way to WWE on December 26, 2002 in SmackDown! as a tag team partner with Shelton Benjamin. Their tag team was known as “Team Angle” which was made to help WWE Champion Kurt Angle to retain his title, attacking Chris Benoit and Brock Lesnar. Their team Team Angle came to an end when Kurt Angle fired them due to feud in between them. They named themselves as “The World’s Greatest Tag Team”. They won the WWE Tag Team Championship on twice.
