This is the night when Randy Orton promised to beat John Cena and make him say “I quit” on WWE Breaking Point. As the WWE Universe saw in the past week, John Cena has been weakened because of getting an RKO using a steel chair. However, this proved that a steel chair RKO is not enough to stop Cena from winning as he was able to lock Orton and use the handcuffs. With too much pain, Orton decided that it is time for him to say “I quit” and giving the title to Cena. Now, this new title is a new addition to the list of John Cena’s accomplishments. The only question is, when will Orton come back for a vengeance?

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker (Submission Match)
In this match, expect no count outs or anything. All the players have to do is just to submit to the winning player. And in this match, you can say that the Undertaker is that last person who will submit to the match. With this, the Undertaker already made Punk submit on this match but Theodore Long went on the ring to nullify the Dead Man’s win. With this, the match ended on a second round but it is very noticeable that the match’s official made an illegal call by hastening the bell and giving Punk the win. However, knowing the Dead Man, he will surely be back to grant them his revenge.

Without any disqualifications or count outs , this is the match that will guarantee a true brawl between the young members of Legacy and the much experienced D-Generation X. The match ended when Michaels was double-teamed by the legacy in a very painful position by having his spine bended. Feeling too much pain, he cannot do anything but to submit and thus giving the win to the younger generation of Legacy.

This is once again one of the matches that everyone should never fail to watch as this is a match between two teams who have been showing off their skills and determination to win. In the past matches, the WWE Universe has seen how the Jericho-Big Show team has stopped the other teams from winning the match. And this match is the same as the determination of Henry and MVP to win has been brought down by the skills of this skillful and powerful team.

This is not the first time they are facing each other as they have already fought in a match with Christian getting the win. Regal also tried his best to win on the match but once again, Christian has proven that he has the power to prevail in the world of WWE.

When it comes to talking, you can definitely rely on the Miz. But in the WWE Universe, talking is not the way to win so the Kofi Kingston has proven that he is the undisputed champion of this fierce universe. Now, will The Miz finally bring toughness on his skills instead of his talking in his next matches?

Seeing these two gigantic fighters in one ring will be very exciting for the WWE expectators. However, the Singapore canes on the corners of the arena will add up to the excitement as it assures excruciating pain with every blow. In the middle of the match, Ranjin Singh interfered to prevent the winning Kane. Being distracted, Kane went to Singh to divert all his aggression but he was protected by his brother. With all power, he gave Khali a powerful choke slam to get him the victory.
After weeks of hearing Punk claim that Jeff Hardy didn’t stand a chance, it all came to a head at the Night of Champions. Unfortunately for Punk, he ended up being more bark than bite, and Hardy was able to take him down and win the coveted title he had sought for so long. Indeed, in the midst of a packed arena, Hardy climbed the top rope and took down his big mouthed opponent with a perfect Swanton Bomb.

While Dreamer had been fervently wishing to retain his title against his opponent and good friend Christian, it simply wasn’t in the cards. In the midst of a packed arena, Christian became the Newest ECW Champ via a Killswitch for the pinfall. The two competitors shared sportsman-like hug after the bout, while Christian basked in the limelight of his victory.

After being doused in the eyes with a ‘mystery substance’ that ended by being perfume via the French Canadian Divas Champ, Mickie James came into the Night of Champions as the underdog, but she ended up being the dark horse victor of the night. Indeed, Mickie became only the second woman in the history of the WWE to be both the Divas and the Woman’s titles. To add insult to injury, moments before the match Maryse dissed her suitor The Miz because he did not have a WWE title. Karma, baby.

In the last minute announcement heard round the world, fans of the WWE finally learned that Chris Jericho would be partnering with Big Show for the Unified Tag Team Championship match. Indeed, Edge (his much publicized Achilles injury the cause of the unprecedented last minute announcement of Jericho’s tag team partner) seemed to be much forgotten as Jericho and Big Show became the new Unified Tag Team Champs, effectively wiping the ring clean with DiBiase and Rhodes.

In the Night of Champions much touted Triple Threat Challenge, The Viper was able to show (once again) why he is the Champ. Indeed, he was able to take down both of his foes as well as withstand an in-ring interruption by the defeated tag teamers DiBiase and Rhodes. Great entertainment.

Kofi Kingston showed all the naysayers what was up when he beat down five commendable competitors in the United States Champion title match. Indeed, for weeks the Jamaican Superstar has been giving (and receiving ) so much smack talk that was almost easy to forget that there was an actual title on the line. No matter, despite his high level of competition he was able to reign victorious.
While Dolph Ziggler has been working diligently at making a name for himself on the WWE, and has also made a point of telling all that would listen that he was about to be the new Intercontinental Champ, veteran Rey Mysterio wasn’t having any of it. Indeed, despite Ziggler’s impressive performances as of late, he was simply no match for the current Intercontinental Champ Mysterio.
Michelle McCool proved that she is not just a load of talk as she retained her Woman’s Championship title against Melina. Indeed, McCool Had the following to say about her win:
“Being the first to win both the WWE Women’s Title and WWE Divas Championship is just the latest reason why I am better than all of the so-called ‘Divas’ who preceded me,” McCool said.
The network released that “World Wrestling Entertainment(R) announced the sale of its ratings juggernaut, Monday Night RAW (R), on USA Network to Donald Trump. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.”

“Donald Trump is one of the most entertaining personalities with one of the sharpest business minds of our time. He’s always had the Midas touch, which will only add to the level of excitement for the loyal fans of WWE Monday Night Raw,” said Chris McCumber EVP Marketing, Digital and Brand Strategy for USA Network.

“The Monday Night RAW franchise has been one of the top cable franchises since its launch 17 years ago. I’m going to do things on the show that have never been done or seen before. As my first act as owner, I am doing something unprecedented. I am giving back to the people who have been loyal all these years. For the first time in more than 838 episodes of RAW, next week’s show will be live and commercial free” said Donald Trump.

To know more about Trump’s “purchase”, log on to wwe.com

WD Opinion:
I believe the WWE pulled off quite a surprise last night regarding the Trump “purchase” of Raw. Vince and Trump have always had great chemistry and Trump has always been an interesting personality in the wrestling world. By going with this storyline, both parties can get the customary publicity and it’s already paying dividends. TV Guide posted an article in their website about the issue but quickly pulled it out after they realized it was just a WWE storyline.

I don’t know how long they will run the storyline, but they’ve already hinted that Ric Flair will be back and run things as the new Raw General Manager during that Vince- Santino segment.

This week’s Raw didn’t really deliver that much except lay the grounds for The Bash on June 28. It looked like things were hurried and could you please what’s Orton doing with the title? The man just lost it 2 weeks ago and somebody needs to run with that belt. Orton will always be a douchebag with or without the belt. Out of the four participants, it was Big Show who needed that belt; instead he got buried once again. Hey, at least it took 3 finishers to take the giant down but it doesn’t change the fact his character has lost its credibility. His losses have piled up and the creative team seems to have nothing for him. The last time Big Show had a great run was against The Undertaker.

Just when you think Big Show’s misery couldn’t get any worse, he’s now being sued by Sobe Entertainment. They claim that they gave Big Show a $1 Million advance yet he owed the IRS $450,000. Big Show reportedly backed out of the deal and signed back with the WWE in 2008.

The PPV kicked thing off with a Fatal Four Way for the WWE United States title with Kofi Kingston defending his title against MVP, Matt Hardy, and William Regal. Kingston was at a disadvantage as his rivals didn’t need to pin him in order to win the title. The scramble ends with Kingston retaining his title after he connects with a Trouble in Paradise on William Regal for the pin fall.
We see Chris Jericho against Rey Mysterio for Mysterio’s WWE Intercontinental Championship in a No Holds Barred match. Chris Jericho comes from the crowd before the match and cuts a promo. He’s at the merchandise stands full of Mysterio masks, insulting Mysterio for hiding behind a mask and deceiving little children. Jericho ends up winning the Intercontinental Title for the record 9th time! Mysterio goes for a 619 on Jericho but misses, Jericho then grabs Mysterio’s mask off and follows it up with a roll up for the pin. Mysterio runs up the ramp covering his face as Jericho celebrates his win in the ring.
The next match pits CM Punk against Umaga in a Samoan Strap match. In order to win, the competitors must consecutively touch the pads in each corner while a strap is used to tie both men together. Punk wins this contest after executing a Go to Sleep on Umaga, knocking him unconscious. Punk then goes ahead and touches the last pad to gain the victory.
Backstage, Gregory Helms interviews ECW Champion Christian about the Triple Threat match against Tommy Dreamer and Jack Swagger. He jokes about Dreamer’s body looking like a melting candle. Dreamer then joins the interview and the two competitors start to argue. Swagger comes in wanting to talk but Christian and Dreamer both walk away before Swagger could start.

We now go to the Triple Threat match for the ECW Championship. If Dreamer loses the match, then it will be his final match ever in the WWE. Weapons are aplenty in the match since it’s under extreme rules. The finish saw Swagger plant Christian’s face in the exposed turnbuckle and attempts a Gutwrench Powerbomb. Dreamer then hits a cracking Singapore cane across Swagger’s chest and drops Christian. Swagger then falls victim to a vicious DDT from Dreamer. Dreamer goes for the cover and becomes the new ECW Champion.
Next, we see Jerry Lawler interviewing Raw GM Vickie Guerrero about her upcoming Hog Pen match against Santina Marella. She then turns it into a handicap match by adding her nephew Chavo Guerrero on her side to the match, much to his chagrin. Santina was able to pin Vickie after Chavo accidentally throws slop on Vickie after Santina ducks. Santina then pours slop over Chavo and covers his head with a bucket. Santina punches the bucket then turns on Vickie to get the pin. Santina goes up the ramp celebrating while Chavo and Vickie are both covered in mud.
The steel cage is lowered for the WWE Championship match with Randy Orton defending the title against Batista. Legacy was unable to help their leader retain the title because of the steel cage. John Cena tried to lock in the STF on the Big Show several times but due to the giant’s size, Cena was only able to apply the hold at the finish. The Big Show looked like his was going to get the win as he locked Cena in a bear hug. However, Cena was able to break free and hits a leg drop off the ropes, locks the STF on Big Show. Jericho drags him back to the middle of the ring and the Walls of Jericho is now completely applied. Mysterio screams in pain but manages to get an inside cradle on Jericho for the near fall. Jericho powebombs Mysterio for a 2 count once more. Mysterio recovers and sets up Jericho for the 619 once more. This time, Mysterio connects, and then proceeds to springboard off the top rope for a splash on Jericho. Mysterio covers Jericho and gets the pinfall victory!

Batista quickly charges on Orton but Orton slides out to avoid The Animal. As Orton comes back up, he manages to hit Batista with a kick but Orton gets hit with a vicious clothesline from Batista. The Animal continues to charge on Orton, sends a few shoulder shots in the corner. Both men go outside the ring as Orton manages to get the upper hand now. He sends Batista back to the ring and applies a headlock.
Orton hits a few stomps on Batista before reapplying the headlock. Orton is now setting up Batista for the head punt but gets blocked with a huge Spear. Orton tries to bring a steel chair to the ring but is leveled with a right hand. Batista goes for the Batista Bomb, but Orton wriggles free and goes outside, grabbing his WWE Championship belt and goes up the ramp.

Batista chases Orton and sends him back to the ring, hitting Orton with a spinebuster. Batista counters an RKO attempt and charges for a Spear but Orton manages to avoid it. Orton attempts an RKO once more but Batista blocks it. Orton then slaps the referee and intentionally gets himself disqualified. Batista wins the match but Orton gets to keep his title.

DiBiase and Rhodes then enter the fray for the post match beatdown. Suddenly, Ric Flair’s music hits and The Nature Boy cleans house! He gives Batista a hug and the members of Legacy head up the ramp. Flair then holds Batista’s arm high in the ring to celebrate!

Big Show manages to back Cena into a corner and lands some punches. He drops Cena and stands on Cena’s chest. The referee breaks it up and Big Show scoops Cena from the ring and slams him back down. Big Show dominates as he applies a camel clutch. Cena escapes it but gets punched by the giant. Big Show now has Cena on a bear hug and though Cena manages to power out, he sends Cena crashing chest first into a corner.

Big Show hits Cena with a series of splashes. Cena counters and works on the giant’s legs. Cena hits Big Show with a blockbuster followed by a Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena uses the ropes and hits Big Show with a drop kick. Cena tries to apply an STF but gets a few elbows in the face in the process.
Cena is now dazed and the Big Show sets up Cena for a powerbomb but drops him face first instead. Big Show now signals for the finisher but Cena ducks the right hand hook, gets the Big Show on his shoulders and hits the Attitude Adjustment. Cena covers the Big Show and gets the win!

Both men circle each other and have the same thing in mind as they both work on each other’s arm. Hardy hits multiple arm drags on Edge, who then quickly rolls out. Hardy takes out Edge after a flip off the top rope. Hardy drags Edge back to the ring and attempts a Whisper in the Wind but Edge moves out of the way. Edge counters a Twist of Fate attempt into a huge DDT that plants Hardy to the mat.

After Hardy crashes by missing a splash, Edge tries to cover but only gets a two count. Hardy manages to hit the Twist of Fate but Edge is able to kick out. Edge goes outside but Hardy stalks him and sends him to the security wall. Hardy gets climbs up the wall and tries to run into Edge but he gets speared in mid-air! Hardy is down and Edge goes back to the ring. The referee starts the count but Hardy manages to roll back into the ring at 9! Both men once again crash out of the ring and the action now spills into the crowd. Matt Hardy interferes in the match and hits Jeff in the head with his cast and Edge now has the upper hand. Edge sends him back to the ring and hits a DDT off the top rope on Jeff. Edge gets the cover and retains his title for the big win!

As the PPV closes, Edge goes up the ramp holding his title up while the WWE officials still check on Jeff Hardy!

Earlier this year, ECW One Night Stand also got a name change. The PPV is now called “Extreme Rules” and will take place on June 7 in Los Angeles. Based on extreme match rules, there will be no disqualifications, meaning “anything goes”. In the matches announce so far, John Cena will take on The Big Show in a Submission Match while Jeff Hardy will try to take the championship away from Edge in a Ladder Match.

He’s currently working for the WWE in the Raw brand after being drafted as part of the 2009 WWE Draft.

Personal Life
Wight was born in Aiken, South Carolina on February 8, 1972. He was diagnosed with acromegaly, a disease in the pituitary gland wherein it produces excess growth hormone that also leads to gigantism. Unlike Andre the Giant, who suffered from the same disease and died due to its complications, Wight chose to undergo treatment and underwent surgery in the early 90s. This halted his growth progression but at age 19, he was already listed as 7 feet tall. This allowed him to play football and basketball while he was in school. He has been married twice. He married Melissa Ann Piavis on Valentine’s Day of 1997. Together they have a daughter named Cierra. After divorcing Piavis on 2002, he married Bess Katramados, on February 11, 2002.

Wrestling Career
Paul Wight started out his pro wrestling career in the WCW after several months of training and preparation. He was introduced as “The Giant” and immediately feuded with Hulk Hogan, blaming him for the death of Andre the Giant, his father in the storyline. During his tenure with WCW, he rose quickly as one of its stars, capturing the WCW Championship twice and the WCW Tag Team Championship 3 times with 3 different partners. He also won WCW World War 3 (an event similar to the WWE Royal Rumble, although it’s held in 3 rings with 20 men in each ring) once, eventually getting a title shot in a future PPV match. He was also part of Hollywood Hogan’s New World Order.

Wight’s contract with WCW expired and he was signed by the WWF to a 10-year contract. He debuted in February 2009 as Paul “The Great” Wight with Mr. McMahon’s heel stable before being renamed as “The Big Show”. In his WWF stint, he was able to capture the WWF/E Championship in 2 occasions as well as the ECW Championship once, making him the only person to ever hold the WWF/E, WCW, and ECW titles. He also held the WWE United States Championship (1 time), WWF Hardcore Championship (2 times), WWF/E World Tag Team Championships (3 times). During his tenure, he had notable feuds against The Undertaker, Mankind, Big Boss Man, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle, Batista, John Cena, and Bobby Lashley. He lost his ECW title to Lashley in December to Dismember in an Elimination Chamber match. After an unsuccessful attempt to regain the title, he left the company to seek other opportunities outside of wrestling. The Big Show eventually returned after a 14-month hiatus from pro wrestling, dabbling in acting and professional boxing, both of which were unsuccessful.

Acting Career
Aside from wrestling, Wight also made several appearances on TV and film, appearing in episodes of Saturday Night Live, Star Trek: Enterprise, Hogan Knows Best, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, to name a few. He also appeared as “Captain Insano” in the Adam Sandler movie, “The Waterboy”

Punk seems to be getting a marginal push back to top dog status but in his recent feud with Kane, it seems that Kane was getting the cheers. Umaga is now being pushed back to his old unstoppable self, destroying Jimmy Wang Yang in a squash match. Umaga already drew first blood in Smackdown by attacking Punk in the May 1 episode. Since this is the first match in the feud, I would normally go with the heel. It would be such a waste if Punk emerges the winner, effectively doing nothing for Umaga’s return. Punk will receive some pretty nasty bumps in this one. Umaga may not be the most talented wrestler out there (being a Samoa Joe clone) but he’s taking the W on Sunday.

Haven’t we seen this one before? The not so jolly giant goes against the little guy (hey, everybody’s little compared to the Big Show. He can probably crush your head with one hand), giant beats the crap out of little guy in the TV matches, makes him look real puny and giant laughs his ass off. Not gonna happen in a PPV. Cena will pull a bunny out of Show’s ass and make him eat it. Not-so-big Hollywood star Cena gets my vote.

ECW Championship Match
-Christian (c) vs. Jack Swagger
Why is Christian even in ECW? Smackdown needs a major star and Captain Charisma is in the C show? Cmon, Vince! Swagger is young and looks like he’s got lots of potential in him, not to mention he acts a little like Biff Tannen (Back to the Future, anyone) in the shows. Christian’s only held the belt for a couple of weeks that’s why I’m hoping he would at least hold this belt a little longer so that he can have his credibility back. Plus, I’m a member of the Christian Coalition that’s why I’m picking Christian to win this baby coz that’s how I roll.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Edge (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
This is pretty much a no-brainer. Edge is living the good life, he’s actually on the poster of Judgment Day, he’s the champ, he’s on a roll, and he’s got Vicki Guererro as his wife (ok so maybe the last reason shouldn’t be there). Was this actually ever a feud at all? Everybody in the internet wrestling community knows that Jeff Hardy is on his way out of the company to get some much needed rest. I’m with the Rated R Superstar all the way on this one.

WWE Championship Match
Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista
Clearly, this is a minor detour in the Triple H-Randy Orton feud. With The Game out because of a kayfabe head injury (brought by Orton’s punt to Trips’ head), Batista will have to pick up the slack in this feud by the former Evolution members. Batista will probably win this match by DQ, with Orton’s lackeys laying the beatdown on Batista and possibly Shane McMahon. Expect a Triple H-sledgehammer reunion at the end of the show.

That’s all folks.
