4th May 2009 – WWE Raw Highlights Complete Story
It seems the battle with between Randy Orton and the McMahon family has turned another notch higher as Orton took out the last standing McMahon in the ringside. Orton along with Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase faced Shane McMahon Monday night at Raw. It was against all odds for Shane who was very determined to avenge his father in the main event which was a Tag Team Match for Batista and MVP was forced not to help in the match as ordered by the Raw General Manager Vickie Guerrero.
Although both The Animal and the Ballin Superstar tried their best to defeat Rhodes and Dibiase in their matches earlier that evening to get a spot in the Tag Team event, they both lost by disqualification in the respective matches.
Guerrero ordered that if Batista would help Shane out, he will loss his opportunity to face Randy Orton in a title match on Judgment Day while United States Champion MVP will be stripped off his United States Championship title if they get involved in the match. Batista and MVP remained watching as Shane O’Mac lost his advantage to his three opponents towards the end of the match.
Although he was declared the winner in the match by disqualification, it seems that he would have to wait until his shattered ankle heals to get his vengeance against Randy Orton. The Legacy attacked Shane using a steel chair and the steel staircase which shattered his ankle. Now the “Vipers” have more reasons to face the Legacy however, with the odds appearing to going to the Legacy’s side, will they be able to avenge not only the Chairman but their comrade Shane as well?
After Batista’s match with Ted Dibiase, Jared from Subway announced the next match. He introduced Mickie James and Divas Champion Maryse to the crowd in a non-title match. Mickie gave a warm welcome to Maryse, French Canadian diva, who had joined the Raw roster a few weeks ago, by defeating her in their match.
