April 6th of 2009 has been a busy Monday Night for WWE’s Raw. It was a day after the 25th Anniversary of Wrestle Mania and a week before the changes in the 2009 WWE Draft takes effect, and the Big Guns of WWE prove that they are unstoppable. McMahon announced that the returning Batista will be taking over his post in the Six-Man Tag Team Match against Randy Orton & the Legacy, after Batista came to the aid of McMahon’s son Shane and WWE Champion Triple H. Randy Orton was on the verge of proving his point on McMahon’s in-ring abilities when Shane came rushing to his father’s aid and attacked Orton but was restrained by Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase who were on the sidelines. WWE Champion Triple H came out to help his team mate Shane O’Mac however the force of the Legacy team was too much for him as well. But to everyone’s surprise, Batista emerged to help even the odds out by chasing Orton and DiBiase off the ring and giving one of his Batista Bombs to Rhodes.

But things are just warming up! Vickie Guerrero announced that she will be the new General Manager of Raw and that John Cena will defend his title as the World Heavyweight Champion in the Last Man Standing Match at the Backslash against her husband Edge. She also added a stipulation to the Six-Man Tag Team Match announced earlier in the night, placing the WWE Championship on the line. She clarified that if anyone on Triple H’s team wins, he will retain the title, but if Orton or The Legacy taste victory, then the WWE Title will go to The Legend Killer.

Santina Marella on the other hand, have proven to the world that day why she is the reigning Miss Wrestle Mania when she defeated Beth Phoenix after the latter had interrupted her and challenged her for a match while she was thanking the WWE Universe. Apparently, Santina dumped Phoenix out of the 25-Diva Battle Royal. While the Women’s Champion Melina, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Layla & Jillian of Raw have defended their home turf after defeating their counterparts the Divas Champion Maryse, Maria, Eve, Gail Kim, & Natalya from SmackDown, as WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo had retained the gold in Tag team and sent their competitors empty handed as they defeated The Miz & John Morrison in a Lumberjack Match.
