It was an explosive Friday Night in Austin, Texas as WrestleMania celebrated its 25th Anniversary. Theodore Long who returned as the General Manager for SmackDown gave in to the brawl between Matt and Jeff Hardy and has them face one another in a Stretcher Match. It all started when Matt Hardy demanded an apology from his brother, Jeff Hardy, whom he had defeated in the Extreme Rules, for being a disappointment to him and the WWE Universe. Matt won the match when Jeff did a Swanton Bomb and painfully landed unto the stretcher.

Matt finished the match by giving Jeff a painful chair shot and while Jeff was on the stretcher, Matt pushed the stretcher up the ramp. Once on top, he raised his arms as a sign of victory causing the stretcher to roll back down on the ramp and smashed into the ring below.

Like Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston had a great disappointment in his fight against Big Show. This came about when the Largest Athlete of the World, delivered a knockout punch in mid air to Kofi Kingston out of his frustration and anger.

Same fate awaited Santino Marella when the Khali, Ranjin Singh answered Marella’s call for an open challenge every Friday night to show that Santina wasn’t the only Marella sibling to be afraid of. The Punjabi Playboy won by giving him the Punjabi Plunge after Santino refused to have Santina guest on his Khali’s Kiss Cam. While Gail Kim defeated Michelle McCool when Gail reversed the latter’s pin attempt to a victory.

On the Non-title Tag Team Event, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase defeated the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito and Primo after Cody Rhodes delivered a devastating CrossRhodes on the Southpaw from San Juan.

After the match Randy Orton emerged to give a frightening account of what will happen at the Backslash when the Legacy meets WWE Champion Triple H, Shane McMahon and Batista with the WWE Championship at stake.

On the other hand, the Last Man Standing Match on Backslash will be an interesting match. The Edge had told the World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena, that he has stolen Cena’s title and that he hates Cena. The Champ then offered the Edge a free shot to prove that no matter how many times the Ultimate Opportunist knock him down, he kept coming at him and always will. However, instead of jumping into the opportunity, the Edge simply backed up and walked away.
