Christian vs. William Regal
With the Night of Champions looming in the near future, Christian had a lot prove as he faced off with William Regal. While there were moments which appeared that Christian was going to take a beating, he was able to emerge victorious thanks to a springboard sunset flip. This satisfied the already psyched crowd.
Evan Bourne vs. Jamie Noble
Everyone saw the underhanded attack that Bourne suffered through at the hands of Big Show on last week’s RAW. However, despite of that (or perhaps because of it) “Air” Bourne came back with a big win over Jamie Noble. While the match was far from one-sided (it could have gone either way), Bourne was able to garner a victory with a big kick to the head, quickly followed by the countdown.
John Morrison vs. Kane
In what came as something as a shocker to those in attendance, The Friday Night Delight was able to keep the much-touted Big Red Monster in check for much of their bout. This infuriated Kane to the point that he threw a chair in Morrison’s face, which resulted in an immediate disqualification. This turn of events was a real shame, as the two men seemed to be evenly pitted against one another, in a competition of strength, power, agility and speed. That was, until Kane decided that chucking a chair was the appropriate course of action. Even after being disqualified for his unruly and unprofessional behavior, Kane attempted to keep the match going, continuing to assault Morrison. This went on only briefly, however, as The Great Khali made his way to the ring. With Khali distracting Kane, Morrison gave Kane a taste of his own medicine via a well placed chair shot. With Kane lying disoriented on the floor, Khali went in for the beating he has wanted to deal out for as long as anyone can remember. Fortunately for Kane, his survival instincts kicked in before he was completely engulfed by the Punjabi Playboy’s attempted assault, and he bailed by way of a hasty exit through the crowd. Everyone is now left to wonder which of these three men will reign victorious at the upcoming Night of Champions.
